A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a spelling mistake. The downside of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited bulk emails, but this issue can be rectified by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a few functions, but it is exceptionally simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the particular address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes one more mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be configured with a couple of clicks in case you have a semi-dedicated server with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be administered through our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes with any domain registered there. To enable the catch-all option for a certain mailbox, you’ll need to click on the sign with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Deactivating this functionality can be achieved in the exact same fashion and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all option has already been enabled for a particular domain, you will receive a warning notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never deactivate or edit any feature automatically.
